As cultural and racial diaspora took root in modern urban sprawl, various cultures and subcultures emerged from the metropolitan epicenters of the world. Cultural, political, and artistic chaos ensued as traditional boundaries were not only crossed, but in many cases, completely obliterated.

Races intermarried and expatriated, the internet made geographic borders and physical location irrelevant, street art was displayed in galleries. Desktop publishing tools enabled cut and paste design, high fashion leaked onto the streets, and music was remixed and mashed up across all genres and time periods. In essence, global culture was shattered, reappropriated and hybridized.

Vane is a reflection of this modern cultural conflict and chaos. Arising from the constant exchange of information and ideas in New York City, Vane has become a platform for a diverse group of individuals to create something unique and positive, something powerful, something beautiful; the medium is not nearly as important as the message. Vane represents the voice, the inherent power and beauty, of tomorrow's generation of thinkers and creators.

From handcrafted jewelry and limited-run accessories to supremely tailored garments, every Vane piece is created with the utmost quality and detail, uniquely crafted with an idea and story behind it. Conceptualized and designed in New York, the City has become not only a springboard for our ideas, but a fountainhead of inspiration and motivation.

As youth culture moves forward in today’s hyper-mediated society, we are faced with a choice. We can either become image obsessed and vain—conceited, arrogant, and devoid of substance. Or, we can become Vane, like the arrow pointing the way on a compass, the guiding blade of a hurling missile, or an indicator of where the wind will take us tomorrow. We know we have made our choice.
