PARTY SUPPLIES – FIRECRACKERS

It’s awesome having talented friends.  It’s even better when you get to tell your friends “I told you so.”

So, we’ve been following Party Supplies, aka Justin Nealis, for about as long as we’ve been making shit.  He’s been part of the Vane Fam since day one, and as we’ve grown, it seemed his talent and career path seemed to mirror our own maturation process.  We’ve been rooting for him since we first met, and to see the progression of his art has been like watching Michael Corleone slowly transform in the Godfather.

In anticipation for his full-length debut album, Party Supplies  serves up some audio foreplay in the form of Firecrackers, his latest mixtape release under Fool’s Gold Records.  It’s a 9 track compilation of his finest MPC-remix wizardry, featuring dance remixes of everyone from the Wknd to Arcarde Fire.

Download it here. It’s free, so do yourself and your eardrums a favor.

You can thank me later.

F*CK YOU!

Here’s the Lyrics Video for Cee-Lo Green’s aptly-named track “Fuck You.”  It’s hilarious, catchy, pure genius Doo Wop for the Hip Hop set at it’s finest.

I can’t wait for the full video and for the full album,  The Lady Killer, set to drop December 7th.  I’ve been a fan since the early Goodie Mob days and it’s great to see he’s still killin shit.

CULTURE

Some more posts from our travels abroad.  These were taken at the Haus der Kunst in Munich and the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum Berlin.  Super inspiring (at least the Bahnof in Berlin) and we got to see some great art.

MUNICH PT. 1

We Live in Munich!

So after traveling to Europe for a month and not posting a single picture, I finally conquered my inertia and sifted through photos from Munich, Berlin, Spain, and Italy.

Munich was our home base of operations while we (sort of) got our shit done.  We prepped collateral material for our Holiday VanexSebago collab, and worked out of a satellite office with HMW Archibrand, shouts to Daniel for all the hospitality!

The highlight for me was the fresh open market and the mammoth, elephantiasis beers.  They serve liters of beer because that pint shit is for beginners.  I had three beers and it was bedtime.  You cannot fuck with German beer or sausage.  Their engineering ain’t half bad either….

Pace of life was definitely not New York, but it was nice to actually enjoy a meal or coffee not at the desk.  Because when heads in Germany take coffee, they take their coffee.  That means they leave the office, take 20 minutes, or however long they need, and they enjoy that shit.  Seems nice, right? Maybe us New Yorkers could learn a thing or two.  But we’re all probably too busy to bother with that shit.

Below are the first set of images, more to follow…
