Too Vane for Corporate America

Drop whatever you're doing and read this article, because it's about
us. And while you're there, poke around and discover an entirely new
lifestyle.

Debonair Magazine is a new online publication, launched by our good
friends Eddie & John. Props to them for what they've done with the mag
- it's witty, intelligent, and full of interesting tid-bits about
topics ranging from sex to NYC nightlife to limoncello (big shout out
to Joey for that great article). The article on Vane covers the basics
of what we are about; our motivation, our message, and the sweat and
hard work behind every design. With that said, check back with us in a
few weeks, as we release our long-anticipated Fall 06 collection (and
yes that means hoodies, you fiends)

ASHA at Mo's Caribbean

Monday, September 11, 2006

This coming Thursday, September 14th, Vane will be out at Mo's Caribbean showing our support for ASHA, an organization whose main objective is to provide education to underprivileged children in India. Our friend, Therese Minehan, is running the New York City Marathon to raise money for this organization, and will be hosting the event on Thursday.

Come and join us from 8pm onwards for food, one hour of free open bar (top shelf liquors, draft beer, over 50 flavors of frozen margarita, wine, soda, juice, bottled beer, shots), Vane giveaways, and if you’re lucky, a fashion show containing some of our new gear.

There will be a small entry charge min. $20, with all proceeds going to the kids in India. So, come bring your colleagues, friends, family, enemies to:

So how did Roxy go?

Monday, September 04, 2006

So the “back to school bash” at Roxy was definitely an entirely new party experience for us. The crowd and the ambiance were different from any other event we've participated in but we had a fun time catching up with all you kids going back to school – our high school years feels like they were ages away, even though it really has not been that long. Pictures from the event can be found in our Life section (thanks to our photographers, Nas & Inna).

We put together a sexy looking booth, complete with posters, sexy VANEladies, and our standard showcase of covering any available wall space with our merchandise.

The reason we chose to be involved with this event was to show support for Folk & Stress, two brothers from Long Island, who put on a hell of a show at Roxy. We met DJ Folk, aka Justin Nealis, through a separate Vane project a few months ago. He was feeling us from the start and told us of his musical endeavor and played some clips for us, but obviously nothing compares to a live show. They were rocking our tees on stage, much love here. Folk & Stress will soon be featured in our WE ARE VANE section, where we will profile emerging artists, musicians, and overall cool cats. For now, listen to their beats here, and don't forget to drop by and say what’s up to us.

We chilled with DJ Green Lantern and his entourage, The Invasion Group, while he was spinning. We've liked his work ever since he got down with Immortal Technique. One of his boys put on a Teal Manhattan Project and walked off in it after the show. Wonder where the night took him…

Everyone’s looking forward to next Friday, Sept 8, when we throw a birthday bash for Megalicious, our PR superstar. Stay tuned for details.
