I thought I would have a minute to update the blog while we were in Vegas but it was kinda impossible. So busy with magic and everything that surrounded it that we didn’t get a chance. It was a great experience, def learned a lot and met a lot of important people. We’ll write more about interesting stories and people we met but for now check out some of the pic’s. the rest of them were posted on the Vane Flickr page. So don’t forget to hit that up once in a while, images that don’t make it to the blog are posted there.

Rage attack

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The face of furor runs his own home business.

The face of anger is ugly. Jowly expletives flap all over, and stick to dry surfaces, and then slide down, slowly. I met this guy snowboarding, and boy is he an asshole.

Our bus stranded us at Hunter Mountain, but, even though there was no room at the inn, a Paragon Sports bus let us crouch in the aisle Fung-Wah style. Three uncomfortable hours later, we got back to our snowboarding company, walked in and told them our predicament.

But an older fellow, long in the tooth and short in the temper, took to the stage. He yelled, he swore, and it was uncomfortable. The store manager, a guy who looked like he worked at Jimmy Stuarts bank in It's A Wonderful Life absorbed the blows, sweat on his bald head, and then the yeller stormed out.

We got the trip for free, plus one more, which is totally worth it, and anger got high blood pressure.

The end.

Operations

Wednesday, February 07, 2007

Last night we hit up Michael Leen's birthday party at his store Operations in Soho. The new line looks real fresh, def check it out. There were amateur digital photographers and videographers runnin all over. I especially enjoyed the fact that the music wasn’t too loud in there. It was nice that people could just casually mingle with each other rather than the usual alcohol breath in your face and shouting in each others ears.

The Homie Sale

Sunday, February 04, 2007

So everyone has that one homie who has looked out for you, probably more times than he should have. You know, the homie who carried your blacked out ass back from the bar, let you crash his spot much longer than you should have, or loaned you some loot that you still need to pay back.

So here's an opportunity to show some love, no homo. For a limited time, Vane is offering any tee/tank from the Alpha Collection for you and your homie, both for only for 25 bucks. The stipulation is that you have to send us your homie's contact info, be it an e-mail, a phone number, or a mailing address, so your greedy ass cant have both the items. Vane will holler at your homie and hook em up with a tee/tank of their choice.

As Vane gears up to enter retail for the Spring 07, we want to extend our Family, and make this Vane Movement official.

Dont forget to put your homies info in the additional comments section during check out.

The following tees are available:
